The Life Information Charitable Trust - Impact on Society

The Life Information Charitable Trust - Impact on Society:

"Doctors and Hospital Boards are increasingly winning Court battles that give them the right to withdraw and withhold treatment from disabled and terminally ill patients. Those opposed to EAS believe that this is happening for economic reasons.

Individual autonomy has increasingly given way to decision-making by health care professionals and bioethicists, whose 'futile care theory' measures the value of human life according to the financial cost of keeping the individual alive.

In Holland where euthanasia is legal many people now carry anti-euthanasia passports because they are afraid they may be killed if admitted to hospital. 9"

FT June/July 2005: Articles

strong>Blogmasters note: I list this link to show the circle reasoning and multitude of 25 cent words needed by the liberal detractor to attack conservatism. The conservatives have largely gathered under the wings of the republican party but our aims are the same as when we were scattered about in both parties. The lines are now clearly drawn between right and left as the war for the minds of men heats up. We have been kicked out of the now socialist Democratic party of the USA and have found our natural habitat in the GOP.

FT June/July 2005: Articles: "Except perhaps for this curious fact: Those who believe the murderousness of abortion to be the fundamental moral issue of our times and those who see the forceful defeat of global, anti-Western Islamicism as the most pressing political concern we facepro-life social conservatives and the foreign-policy neoconservatives, in other wordsseem to be increasingly voting together, meeting together, and thinking together. If you want to advance the pro-life cause, you will quickly find yourself seated beside those who support an activist, interventionist, and moralist foreign policy for the United States. And, conversely, if you are serious about the war on terror, you will soon discover that you are mingling with those fighting against abortion."These issues have always been important to the conservatives...where has this author been? Locked in a Harvard closet?

Physicians For Life - Abstinence, Abortion, Birth Control - About Us

Physicians For Life - Abstinence, Abortion, Birth Control - About Us: "

Physiciansforlife.org exists to draw attention to the issues of abortion, euthanasia, stem cell research, cloning, infanticide, teen pregnancy, sexually transmitted diseases, out-of-wedlock sexual activity and the medical merits of risk elimination through sexual abstinence. Our sponsoring organization, Alabama Physicians For Life, Inc. (APFLI), was founded in 1986 and has produced a series of brochures, booklets, and digests which are distributed throughout the USA, and internationally.
This website has a tremendous task: to accurately inform large numbers of individuals regarding the above-mentioned issues, to help network and build a spirit of community for all who feel alone in their pro-life stand, and to provide lengthy resource lists for a wide range of pro-life and abstinence needs.
We hope you will peruse our brochures and all our links so that when you leave this site, you will have a better understanding of the medical issues facing our nation today. Please pass our website address along to your family and friends.
We invite physicians and other medical professionals throughout the USA, and even throughout the world, who do not have a pro-life organization with which to associate, to consider joining our organization"

third world county: Strange bedfellows... or not so strange?:

"In 1920, two German professors published a small book advocating the killing of people whose lives were 'devoid of value.' Nineteen years later, the professors' proposal became reality when Nazi Germany established a euthanasia program targeting physically and mentally disabled children, elderly patients in long-term care, and invalids from World War I._1_"

Killing with Kindness - Christianity Today Magazine

Killing with Kindness - Christianity Today Magazine:

"Fundamentally, Christians oppose euthanasia because it simply does not fit with core Christian theological convictions. God is Creator, not us (Gen. 1:1). Human life is in his hands (Job 1:21). Illness and death are a tragic part of life in a sin-sick world (Gen. 3:19), and we must fight them hardas Jesus fought them hard (Mt. 4:24). The time will come when every person's earthly life is over. At that point, our only hope lies in the resurrection promised to those who belong to Jesus Christ (1 Cor. 15:50-56).
We are called to heal the sick where we can, comfort the dying always, and entrust the dead to God. But we are never called, and we are never free, to hasten the dying across the threshold into eternity. "

Choices

People in the middle of the age groups in our time face choices unheard of in past civilizations. Who would have thought that in a Christian nation the subject of terminating life of the very old and very young would even come up. We have faced an insult of vain reasoning over termination issues. Even the AMA which stood on the side of preservation of life with all resources since the days of Hippocrates has succumbed to the pressure and changed their oath. God save us from this tidal wave of lies and deceit.
